"And then of course my real experience was with Aunty Kit really - when she died it was the first time in my life that I realised it was only her body. You know you have this feeling about bonding and closeness...I really felt when Aunty Kit died and they took her off, it wasn't really her, you know? She had really gone. It was a clean sleep. She just went,' Sung all at the same time: I will miss you. I will miss you. Kiss your face and hold your hand it'll be ok, we understand Kiss your face and hold your hand I know it'll be ok, goodbye I hold your hand, I don't know. Will I see you again. I hold I hope. about

ORPHANT is a small, ep-ish sized collection of orphan tracks, without a home, that I'd worked on over a period of 3 years or so - spanning the gap between my last project, COHERENCE and my CASE 2 project, which was a purely modular based experimental album. By contrast this is a collection of quite non-experimental songs - some of which have meaning and lyrics - like the love song 'lines' and the requiem 'clean sweep' - written in the immediate wake of the death of my mother. Its not a particularly coherent collection and is a little all over the place. Its more a progression through time, of pieces that were pulled together, mostly on a laptop, whilst travelling. But they very much touch on and convey a specific point in my life. I hope there's something here that you'll find works for you. If there is, share it with somebody...if there isn't...well thanks for stopping by anyway.
